Hatch Show Print
Hatch Show Print is the second-oldest letterpress shop in the United States, located inside the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee. Now a non-profit within the museum, Hatch Show Print creates timeless posters of many American pop culture icons. Our motto is Preservation through Production. Through this, we aim to teach letterpress via poster production and guided tours.
What does the Education
team at HSP do?
As part of the Education Sector at HSP, I give hourly tours of our space. During this experience, I teach, explaining the process the printer designers use. Our 146-year history covers downtown Nashville, the WSM, Grand Ole Opry, Ryman, and, of course, the business ventures of Hatch Show Print. I help guests print an annual custom tour poster using a 1930s Vandercook letterpress. I conclude by showing guests the shop layout, as well as the role of each designer.

I
assist with monthly block parties, which is a hands-on experience teaching
guests how to create their own custom poster using a selection of our
hand-carved images.
I help create poster designs for the education outreach. Programs include Tennessee Craft Fair, Ryman Community Day, Nashville Pride, ACM Awards, various Cheekwood events, etc.
I am eternally grateful to contribute to such an important part of both art and American history.
